Chelsea Sexton, age 89, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Willows at Willard. She was born on July 29, 1934 in Blackey, KY to the late John and Melvina (Carnes) Barton. She enjoyed walking, reading the Bible, and in being a devoted, obedient, and steadfast Christian woman.
Chelsea is survived by her husband, Reverend Velman Sexton; 5 sons, Logan (Melinda) Sexton of Mississippi, Volon (Nancy) Sexton of Arlington, TN, Travon (Sandy) Sexton of Stewart, FL, Van (Jeanette) Sexton of Willard and Tim (Sandy) Sexton of Mansfield, OH; daughter, Narda (Randy) Osborne of Vacaville, CA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, David Hicks of Willard, OH and Dean Hicks of Cleveland, OH; 1 sister, Mabel Marie Marcum of Willard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her precious daughter, Marcella Ayres; loving son, Arvis Sexton; as well as her sister, Gracie Sexton and brother, Walter Barton.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Willard Church of God. Online condolences may be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
