Carroll Joseph "Joe” Bettac, 88, of Willard died November 20, at Willard Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 27, 1935 in Plymouth, Ohio to Chester and Helen (Myers) Bettac. He was a 4-sport athlete at Plymouth High School. He retired from Copperweld in Shelly, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes with family and was a life-long Cleveland sports fan. He loved being around family and friends and frequently made stops at the local social clubs.

Surviving are sons Timothy J. and Teresa (Brown) Bettac of North Fairfield, Daniel E. and Valerie (Hall) Bettac of Willard, Grandchildren Josh Bettac, Allie Reynolds, Jamie Bettac, Joey Bettac, Dillon Bettac, Logan Bettac and Aaron Bettac. Great grandchildren Lilly, Lauren, Kyrsten, Jacob, Wyatt, Zaven, Quinn, Kipton and Dean. He was close to his sister-in-law's Pauline Steinmetz, Judy (Oliver) Mahl and Sandra (Richard) Atkins all of Willard. He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Louise Bettac, son David Earl Bettac, Brothers Don, Gene, Ted Bettac and sisters Delores Bettac, Patricia Elmlinger, and Jeanette Compton.

Friends may call on Monday November 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday November 28, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Willard. Burial for Joe along with Aggie and son David will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Willard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice.
