Jennie Lucas, age 60, resident of Lakewood, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on August 30, 1963 in Willard, Ohio to the late Virgil J. and Nancy M. (Ludban) Daniel. Jennie served in the U.S. Army before working at MTD in Willard. After moving to Lakewood, she worked at East End Bistro in Lakewood.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Lucas, whom she married on August 23, 1991; children, Christopher Lucas and Westley (Rachel) Lucas; grandchildren, Elizabeth Danielle, Stevie Grace, and Peyton Rose; siblings, Sally (Dave) Frye, Joseph (Deb) Daniel, James (Nancy) Daniel, all of Willard, Judy Younger, of Perrysburg, Charles (Jenifer) Daniel and Tad (Karen) Daniel, both of Willard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Nanci Danielle and a sister, Josephine Anna Daniel.
Calling hours will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. There will be a private burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Akron Children’s Hospital, 1029 S Trimble Rd, Mansfield, OH 44906 or by visiting their website at www.akronchildrens.org. The first neighbor to welcome me to my new home was Jennie, accompanied my her much loved Granddaughter Stevie. So very thoughtful and devoted to her family. I will miss watching her gardening in the front yard,and watching TV on the porch. Always comforting to know she was there. I will miss her.
