Samuel Hale, age 84, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at The Willows in Willard, Ohio. He was born on November 5, 1938 in Gunlock, Kentucky to the late Sam and Rozillie (Hicks) Hale.
 
Samuel work for and retired from Plymouth Locomotive where he worked as a Maintenance Foreman. He was a member of the United Baptist Church in Shiloh, Ohio.
 
In his spare time, Samuel could be found tinkering around the garage or attending a local auction with his son. Past time favorites include camping when his children were younger and traveling, mostly to the east coast.
 
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Lillian (Hicks), whom he wed on January 24, 1964; children, Roberta Hale and Michael (April) Hale; brothers, Henry Hale, Grover (Delphi) Hale and John (Barbara) Hale; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold (Irene) Hicks, Wanda (Ralph) Neeley, Frances (Johnny) Hicks, Ruth Oney (Keith Carman), Arlene (Gary) Adkins, Denzel Gearheart, Renee Hicks and Jane Hicks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his siblings, Elvinis Shepherd, Irene Baker, Janis Griffith and a younger sister and two brothers.
 
Family and friends may visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Samuel’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Delmer Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be left for the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
