Nathan “Nate” George Salazar, age 24, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was born December 11, 1998, in Willard to the late George Salazar Sr. and Maria D. Luevano.

Nathan was a Townsend High School graduate: like many others, he was searching for his own path and meaning in life. He saw value in all walks of life, believing that everyone’s unique path had something important to offer the world. He found great pleasure in helping others, often by taking time to listen and understand with an open, compassionate heart. He believed every voice mattered and needed to be heard. He was also a true naturalist at heart, loving all of nature’s gifts, especially gardening! He had a deep passion for music and loved spending time with his family and friends, whom he adored.

Nathan is survived by siblings, George Salazar Jr., twin brother, Adam Salazar and Summer Perez; nephew and niece, George R. Salazar and Meadow Salazar; maternal grandparents, Jose and Maria Luevano; paternal grandparents, Josue Salazar and Linda Salas; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Nathan was preceded in death by his uncle, Joel Luevano; and cousin, Bella Moya.

A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard at 10:00 a.m. with Father George W. Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to Nate’s family to help with expenses. To Nathan’s family: I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He provided many laughs when I had him in class years ago as a freshman. He had a great smile too! Many prayers for comfort and strength during this sad time.
