Dominic Gruttadauria passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Dominic was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 19, 1929 to the late Frank and Josephine (nee Galliano) Gruttadauria. Dominic will be remembered as a devoted and loving father and a good friend. Dominic owned and operated Aero Mobile for many years in the Los Angeles area serving general aviation customers developing many friends along the way. Dominic moved to Palm Desert, California after his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, reading, playing bridge and other card games with his close and treasured friends. Most important to him was entertaining a house full of family and friends. Cherished father of three children, the late Joanne McDaniel, Frank (Jule Kaple) Gruttadauria, Gina McVey; grandchildren, Katie McDaniel, Bethany McDanial, Jenna (Alex) Cairns, Niki Gruttadauria, Rory (Cassandra) Gruttadauria, Scott (Olivia ) McVey, Timothy McVey and Mathew McVey; and many great grandchildren, nieces nephews and dear friends whose lives he has touched. Dominic was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne McDaniel (1956-2009), his sister Lily Robone, brother-in-law, Lawrence Robone and nephew, Joseph Robone. All those he loved and deeply touched. A private celebration of his life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens of Palm Springs.
