Sandra Lois Vogel McKelvey, age 84, of Willard Ohio, was peacefully welcomed to Heaven as a good and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior on August 17, 2022.
She was born July 3, 1938 to Clarence and Alice Vogel and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, Ralph Byron McKelvey on February 15, 1958 and she faithfully loved him and their children all her days. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Edward and daughter-in-law Victoria. She is survived by her daughter Barbra and sons Barton (Candace) and William (Aimee). She cherished her 9 grandchildren, Kyle, Caitlin, Kamryn, Karmen, Kolin, Kelsey, Cody, Collin and Electa. She had one great grandchild, Rowan Elouise, and another due in December.
She was a trusted, reliable church secretary for over 25 years in Willard and volunteered for many local organizations including the Huron County election board and Willard Area food bank. Sandra was a devoted sports fan, reader, baker, puzzler and gardener of flowers and produce.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 27 at 11:00 at the Christian Alliance Church, 1609 S. Conwell Ave. in Willard with her son Rev. Barton F. McKelvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be given to the church.
