Bethel L. Bogner, age 71, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born February 24, 1951 in Willard, Ohio to the late Newman and Mollie (Pine) Oney. Janet and Bethel are known as the "burn sisters" because everything they cooked, they burned and was due to that fiery red hair and flaming personality. She was an avid quilter, loved to travel and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband Terry L. Bogner, whom she married July 2, 2000; daughter Elizabeth (Bill) Akers, stepson Steven (Amanda) Bogner and stepdaughter Blair (Dan) White; grandchildren Nichole (James) Reed, Nathan Hamons and Grant Hamons and great grandchildren Jamie, Harper and Lilian Reed and Carter Hamons; siblings Kenny (Jane) Oney, Joe (Christy) Oney, Tom (Diane) Oney, Joyce Nation, Janet (Dan) Miley and Barb (Maynard) Stephens; many nieces and nephews who got one too many hugs and kisses.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Newman and Mollie Oney and baby sister Susie.
Per Beth's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral. The Secor Funeral Home in Willard is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
