George R. Myers, age 79, of Willard, Ohio passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Admiral Point Nursing Home in Huron, Ohio. He was born February 25, 1943 in Willard, Ohio to the late Simon and Yvonne (Holzhauer) Myers, he had been a lifelong Willard resident. George was a retired truck driver with Holthouse Brothers in Celeryville. He was a member of the American Legion, Willard Moose and Norwalk D.A.V. and a veteran of the US Army who served in Germany during Vietnam. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, bowling, playing darts and euchre and he helped others as much as he could.

He is survived by his daughter Rachel Riedlinger of Willard, sister, Ruth Trushel of Willard and brother, Simon (Imogene) Myers of Ooltewah, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Yvonne Myers, sisters Pat Myers and Dianne Myers, brothers David Myers and Richard Myers, sister-in-law, Elsie Myers and brother-in-law Pete Trushel.

George's calling hours will be Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio with a funeral service at the end of the calling hours at 12:00 PM with Rev. Michael Padula officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Military honors. Ruth, I am so sorry for your loss. I saw George a few times at Country Kitchen in the past years. He was always kind and nice.
