Marilyn S. Cok, age 85, of Willard, Ohio passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Willows at Willard in Willard, Ohio. She was born April 15, 1936 in Willard, Ohio to the late John and Edna (Martin) Hershiser. She was a lifelong resident of Willard, graduated from Willard High School in 1954 and attended the Willard Christian Reformed Church. She was formerly employed at Celeryville Greenhouse, Mad Rags, Industrial Savings & Loan and the Carriage House Florist.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dean (Linnea Kuipers) Cok of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Rod (Mary) Cok of Willard; daughter, Karen (Don) Snoeyink of Alto, Michigan; 14 grandchildren, Shane (Alyssa Daniel) Cok, Melissa Cok, Ashley (Jake) Holmer, Adam (Erica) Cok, Alycia Cok, Caytlyn (Zach) Veletean, Austin (Alison) Snoeyink, Mikaela Cok, Caleb Snoeyink, Kyleigh Cok, Andrew Cok, Alyse Cok, Jake Cok and Dakota Cok; 11 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Judy) Hershiser of Willard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, A. Paul Cok, whom she married August 12, 1953 and who died August 4, 2018; son, Bradley Cok, parents, John & Edna Hershiser and sister, Janice Lydy.

Marilyn's wishes were that there would be no calling hours or funeral. She will be buried at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Celeryville Christian School or to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I only met Marilyn a few times but found her to be beautiful and gentle. I'm good friends with her daughter, Karen, and based on Karen, she must have been a wonderful woman. My prayers are for those she leaves behind to grieve her well and remember the wonderful legacy she left. May she now rest in peace in the arms of her Savior.
