Ronald E. "RB" Brown, age 79, of Willard, Ohio passed away at the Mercy Willard Hospital in Willard, Ohio. He was born February 25, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to the late Roy E. and Lola L. (Gatten) Brown. RB was a member of the Willard American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, Eagles, Owls and Moose clubs. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, crossword puzzles, mowing the yard and most of all, socializing with family and friends.
RB worked as a helicopter mechanic for the US Army and was stationed in Germany during his service. Upon his return, he was employed by R.R. Donnelley, where he worked until his retirement in 2001 after 38 years at the company.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Leitz) Brown, whom he married May 26, 1984 and 3 children, Susan (Tim) Newton and Stacy Brown of West Lafayette, IN and Greg (Brandy) Brown of Willard; 7 grandchildren, Danielle, Bailey, Emily, Tyler, Aaron, Zach and Alexis and 4 great grandchildren, Peyton, Brooklyn, Lola and River; 2 sisters, Cheryl (Mike) Bennett and Lynn (Rick) Lofthouse and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lola Brown and a nephew, Jeff Bennett.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, OH where the funeral service will be Tuesday at 5:00 PM, with military rites. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimers Assoc. or to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
