Anita and Roberta, thinking about you a lot this week! Many memories of our parents and us kids being together through the years…especially during our younger years. Your mom and my mom being BFFs for, what, 85+ years. Many times since mom passed, when a question came up about something or someone from waaay back, my siblings and I commented that Mary Alberta could tell us. Like when my mom died it seemed a whole piece of history passed, it feels like that again…except now we have no “backup” to verify or clarify for us. Many, many condolences. Much love! 103 roses! Sweet.

My siblings and I had been texting all last week about our Fond memories of how amazing Mary was to us when we were growing up! She always gave us candy(Smarties)that she kept in her hall closet, her smile was so sweet, and never missed one of our birthdays by sending so many cards. We all decided that we are better people today because we had Mary, a great neighbor, for so many years!! We saw her picture in the paper last week for her 103rd birthday and that is when the texts started flying and tons of smiles with great memories of her. So we all decided to send her Birthday cards this year and then we found out she passed on Sat. We were too late ? to send them. So then we felt so grateful that we have such warm and loving memories of her to cherish in our hearts and how awesome it was to talk about her last week, wishing we all could have seen her. Now we Wish that we could be a blessing to others like Mary was to us. Thank God for her loving ways. So Sorry for your loss, she touched so many people.

Mary was our former neighbor in town and was just the sweetest person you would ever know. We had a power outage from an ice storm so she walked over to see if we needed candels because she knew we had young children. She was in her mid 90’s at the time! Always cared about others more then herself. She was also like a second mom to my mother, and for that I will always be grateful. God has sent us a Saint in Mary, and she will always have a special place in me and my families heart. Our prayers our with her family.

Our condolences to all the family in the passing of Mary. We will never forget the many quilts and blankets that Mary made and gave to many organizations and individuals. Shirley remembers the blanketsshe gave to the Red Cross for families who had been burned out. God blessed her with 103 years. She had her sewing machine with her at Orchard Park still continued sewing while a resident there. We will never forget you Mary.

Mary was a caring person and meant so much to the people who had to privilege to know her. I was positively influenced by her kindness and she was a role model for many of the young people in the United Methodist church. She was a Sunday school teacher for us many times. I am thankful for the times that her grandson, Aaron, and I played cards and pool at her home. My thoughts are with all of her family and friends.

God has called home another. Thinking of family at this time. I remember when I had an accident with Anita (my fault) and Mary sent money to me to help. I did not accept the money, but remember her fondly. She was a very special lady.
