She was born on April 15, 1930 in Auburn Township, Ohio to the late Amele and Edith (Schnarrenberger) Kessler. She was valedictorian of her 1948 graduating class from Tiro High School. She worked at The Shelby Depot prior to taking time off to raise her children. She also worked at the Shelby Mutual and sold Avon, before dedicating the rest of her career to selling insurance well into her 80's.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James B. Niedermier. Surviving are their children, Allan (Mary) Niedermier of Tiro and Beth (Glynne) Davies of Westlake; five grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley) Niedermier, Jeffrey (Sage) Niedermier, Jason (Lauren) Niedermier, Braden and Nicole Davies; four great-grandchildren, James, Reagan, Tucker and Jameson Niedermier. Also surviving are one sister-in-law Laurena VanEertan and one brother-in-law Robert Niedermier, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and also special caregivers Laurie Thomas and her daughters Erica and Sarah and Peggy Brown and Charlene Price.

She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, an avid member of the church choir, and the Golden Gems. Wilma was an extremely religous, social, and joyful person. She also loved to bake cookies, not only for her family but for friends and those she sold insurance to. Every Christmas she would bake an average of 1000 cookies to share with family and friends. She will truly be missed by many and fondly remembered by all.

Our sympathy to Allan and Mary, Beth and Glynne, and your families. I regret that we won't be able to attend your mom's funeral and extend our sympathy to you in person, but I will be thinking and praying for you. I remember that your mom could always be counted on to send a birthday card to me and my brothers and sisters when we were small. She was so kind and thoughtful.

To Allan,, Mary, Beth, Glynne and families our deepest sympathy in the passing of Wilma. Your mom and dad were very dear friends of ours. Whenever she could no longer make those cookies Shirley took them to her. We went out to dinner once a year and many memories were made. She will be missed.
