Carol Larson, age 69, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 28,2021 at home surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on June 7, 1951 to the late Charles Alvin and Delsie Christine (Beckelhimer) Voies. Carol retired from the Willard American Legion and enjoyed card games, fishing, boating and most of all, spending time with her loving husband, Gordon "Bear" Larson and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Tammy (Danny) Taunt and Tina (Jim) Basala, all of Brunswick, OH; stepsons, Jeff Larson, Greg (Lynn) Larson of FL, Mitch (Melissa Harvey) Larson and Russel Larson, all of Garfield, OH; grandchildren, Kayla Taunt, Brittany Taunt and Frankie Basala, all of Brunswick, OH; great grandson to be; Joey Anthony Schaulfele; brother, Darrell (Betty) Voies of Madison, OH; and sisters, Audrey (Roger) Trizak of Beckley, WV; Brenda DeMichele of Parma, OH; and Stacy (Darren) Parrot of Parma Heights, OH.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon T. Larson who died in 2020 and whom she married on April 19, 1984.
There will be a visitation at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, with a funeral service at 11:30 AM, with Rev Bart McKelvey officiating. Burial will be Monday at 2:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawinga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273, with military rites.
