Helen M. Heydinger, age 84, resident of Tiro, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 29, 1936 to the late George and Celesta (Pifher) Wechter, Sr. and had been a resident of Tiro all of her life. Helen was a member of the North Auburn Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed being outside and gardening. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John S. Heydinger, whom she wed on August 8, 1959; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Graffice of Tiro, Ohio and Jennifer and Thomas Kiser of Piqua, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Deb Heydinger of Willard, daughter-in-law, Holly (Rick) Weir of Tiro, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Joan Zellner of Mulberry, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Matthew John Heydinger; parents, George and Celesta (Pifher) Wechter Sr.; five brothers, George Wechter Jr., Norman Wechter, Alfred Wechter, Jerome Wechter and Louis Wechter and five sisters, Catherine Pauly, Janice Stump, Margaret Gosche, Anna Mae Mason and Beatrice Schmitz.
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, there will be a funeral service at a later time. The family will have a private funeral service with burial at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery.
