Landis Beverly, age 80, resident of North Fairfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on May 13, 1935 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Clenon and Bessie (Slone) Beverly. He worked as a welder at Tecforms in Shelby and later retiring from Fetzer and Son in Plymouth. Landis was a member of Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon. He was a faithful follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and attending church.
He is survived by his wife, Annetta (Vanderpool) Beverly, whom he married on May 17, 1957; 5 children, Bobby Lynn Beverly of Norwalk, Gary Gene (Lake) Beverly of New Haven, Debbie Vanderpool of Willard, Darlene (Steve) Kerby of Greenwich, Tammy Renee (Dan) Papai of Wellington; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 2 expected; 6 brothers, Lon Beverly of Plymouth, Donald Beverly of Plymouth, Carrel Beverly of Plymouth, Ellis Beverly of Plymouth, Jim Beverly of Mansfield, Phillip Beverly of Celeryville; 5 sisters, Naviona Jordan of Plymouth, Vanda Haymond of Shiloh, Lois Ball of Mansfield, Willa Rachel of Mansfield, Phyllis Fidler of Mansfield.
In addition to his parents, Landis is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jimmie Vanderpool; and a granddaughter, Amber Beverly.
Friends may call at Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, Ohio on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 and Thursday, August 27, 2015 from Noon till 9:00 PM with church services being held at 6:00 PM both nights. There will be a funeral service at the church on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Elders Russel Hicks, Clyde Lewis, Phillip Beverly, and Lon Beverly. Burial will then follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Annetta. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

my heart is broken for the family of brother landis he was a great brother he will be miss in in his work but rest has come for him john said blessed are the dead which die in the lord from henceforth yea saith the spirit that they may rest from their labours and their works do follow them. may God his family
