Pearl Bauer, age 95, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Willows at Willard surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 14, 1920 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Perry and Medea Dick. Pearl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in the Church Women’s Bible Study and Lend-A-Hand. She graduated from Thompson High School in 1938 and was a member of the girls basketball team. She also attended the University of Toledo. She was a member of the Huron County Farm Women’s Club and Huron County Farm Bureau. Pearl enjoyed church and school activities, living and working on the farm and most of all, she loved family get-togethers. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, traveling, music, caring for others and going to the Huron County Fair to watch her children and grandchildren show projects.
She is survived by her son, Howard (Dolores) Bauer of Willard; daughter Claudette Snook of Willard; 4 grandchildren, Steve (Michelle) Bauer of Willard, Amy Snook of Willard, Sharon (Brad) Heisler of Plain City, Ohio and David (Christy) Snook of Wilmington, Ohio; 10 great grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Madeline and Nicholas Bauer; Ellie, Will, Andrew and Ainsley Heisler; Delaney and Dillan Snook; several nieces and nephews; and brother and sisters-in-law, Ruth Bauer of Florida, Earl and Phyllis Bauer of Willard, Esther and Roger Wilcox of Willard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude A. Bauer; daughter, Virginia Bauer; a brother, Raymond (Trudy) Dick and a sister Gertrude Dick.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Her funeral service will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, Ohio on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Janet Wittenmyer officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 308 Myrtle Ave., Willard, OH 44890 in Willard or to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Claudette, Howard and families – We are so sorry to hear of Pearl’s passing. What a wonderful, full life she had. We have such fond memories of all our parents cheering our girls on at the basketball games. We know how hard it is to lose your mom, but your wonderful memories of her will always be in your hearts.

Thoughts and prayers for all your family. It is so hard to loose our Moms but what a blessing you had her for so long. I know she and Claude and Willard and Kathryn Baxter are greeting each other in Heaven.
