Donald R. Vasquez, age 56, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Firelands Acute Rehab Center in Sandusky. He was born on August 20, 1958 to the late Jose and Josephine (Nagel) Vasquez Jr. Donald graduated from Willard High School/Pioneer in 1977. He had worked for R.R. Donnelley as a pressman for 38 years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Denese Vasquez, whom he married on September 4, 1982; four children, Rachael “Nikki” Vasquez (Freddy Hodge) of Willard, Danielle “Nelly” Vasquez (Derrick Perry) of Bellevue, Michael Vasquez of Willard, Briana Vasquez (Richard Snyder) of Bellevue; ten grandchildren, Amber, Lucas, Thomas, Charlie, Rayden and Abrielle Hodge and Darren Young, Izaiah Vasquez, Zaiden Perry; six siblings, Jose Vasquez Jr. of Alice, TX, Daniel Vasquez of Perrysburg, OH, Darrell Vasquez of Willard, OH, Odilia Esparza of Westminister, CA, Delia Blackburn of Monroeville, OH, and Darlene Vasquez-Garcia of Plainview, TX.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Dawn Vasquez; infant brother; and one brother, Oscar Vasquez.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be at the funeral home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Ricky Branham officiating. Following the service, burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. My condolences to Denise and family members. Donald Ray was a pleasure to be with, and he will be sadly missed.
Delia, Denise, and family, Our heart breaks with you and for you. God in His infinite mercy, will be your rock and your strength. Donald Ray was a kind man, so loved by his children, what a loss for all of us who knew his kindness, but especially his kids. May these days ahead be filled with wonderful memories, closeness of family, and the comfort of God.

He was always ready to help any one who needed it. I will miss sit n in the breakroom and chat n with him. We had some good laughs together….. He will be sadly missed by me and so many others….. So very sorry to hear of Donald’s passing. My prayers are for the family and my God bless you all. Know that God holds him in His arms. I wish you all peace.
