Margaret Porter, age 80, resident of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio. She was born on August 1, 1933 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Malcom and Mary (Bartley) Sexton. She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles and working in her garden and flower beds.
She is survived by 2 sons, Danny (Ilena) Porter of Shiloh and Johnny Ray Clevenger of Jacksonville, FL; 4 daughters, Debbie (Joe) Deskins of Shiloh, Susie (Ranny) Blankenship of Crites, WV, Jean Porter of Trenton, Ohio and Audrey Kay Clevenger of CA; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty Rupp of Oregon, Annalee Sexton of Oregon and Opal Holbrooks of Pikeville, KY; 2 brothers, Verlin Sexton of Mansfield and Doug Williams of Shelby.
Besides being preceded in death by her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Porter; a son, Terry Clevenger; granddaughter, Tonia Shafer; grandson, Ranny Blankenship; great grandson, Cody Blankenship; 2 sisters and 4 brothers
Visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
