Donald F. “Ducky” Daniel, age 75, of Willard, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born November 4, 1937 in Willard, Ohio to the late Cornelius F. “Cy” and Dolores (Ball) Daniel and had been a life long Willard resident.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Colish) Daniel; 3 step-daughters Debbie Tuttle of Willard, Sharree Burton of Willard and Marcia Volz of Huston, TX; one sister Rosemary Butzer of Columbus, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and seven step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Robert J. Daniel, his sister Jean (Daniel) Todd and one step-son Mark Clem.
Ducky served in the US Army Reserves and was a 1956 graduate of Willard High School. He was a former school bus driver and retired from Midwest Industires after 33 years of service. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Willard Moose, American Legion, A.A., an avid softball player and enjoyed all sporting events.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Gasper Del Bufalo with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating.Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery in Bismark. Marjorie, Rosemary and the extended Daniel family, Condolences to you on the loss of your husband and brother. Cousin Don was a source of family history and could recall names and dates of many births, weddings, and deaths. He had a presence that will missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. I remember many funny family stories involving him, his parents and cousins. May he rest in peace.
