Wilma I. Armitage, age 88, resident of New Haven, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on November 7, 1930, in Bloom Township Ohio to the late Charles and Verna (Kinerieman) Auck and had been a resident of the New Haven area most of her life. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Chatfield. Wilma was a clerk for Mike's Variety Store, the manager of New Haven Restuarant, the Site Manager at the Senior Center and a volunteer at the Willard Hospital. She enjoyed camping at Auburn Lake in Tiro, Ohio for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Barb Langoehr of Lewis Center, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Debbie Armitage of New Washington, OH; daughter-in-law, Kathy Armitage of Willard; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Weldon Auck of Chatfield, OH; one sister, Lois Almendinger of Chatfield, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlyn "Leroy" Armitage; two sons, Allen Armitage and Jerry Armitage; two grandsons, Jerry Armitage Jr. and Blaine Armitage; son-in-law, Karl Langoehr; two brothers, Willard Auck and Raymond Auck; and three sisters, Eva Pope, Alma Lynch, and Noami Waltz.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. the funeral home with Rev. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Aunt Wilma brought so much joy to our family and was our fill in Grandma when Grandma and Grandpa Auck had both passed. To say she will be sadly missed is an understatement. We all loved her and her joyous laugh! You are all in our thoughts and prayers!

Thank you for the sweets Wilma, Id say every year. I loved visiting you and helping around the house. You always knew how to light up the room. You were always so sweet. You will always be like family and never be forgotten. Im so glad you got to see my son and share in his laughter and I wish I could have visited more.
I pray for the Armitage family, may God help them find peace, understanding and strength in this difficult time.
