Jerome J. “Pete” Stockmaster, age 70, resident of New Washington, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1942 in rural New Washington to the late Joseph H. and Lena (Daniel) Stockmaster and had been a life long resident. He was a 1961 graduate of Buckeye Central High School and served in the Army National Guard. He retired from the Swan Rubber Company in Bucyrus after nearly 50 years of service. Pete was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, tinkering and wood working.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, M. Cecelia (Timmons) Stockmaster whom he married on February 23, 1963; one son, Shawn (Brenda) Stockmaster of Attica; three daughters, Robbin (Mike) Niese of Tiro; Rachel (Sonny) Oakley of Lakeview, OH; and Shannon (Marc Jackson) Stockmaster of New Washington; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Clara Nolan of Shelby; Pauline (Ben) Kehres of Tiro; and Bertha (Curtis) Mason of New Washington; a sister-in-law, Betty Stockmaster of New Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Sherron Stockmaster in 2007; and one brother, Harold Stockmaster.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Rachael, sorry to hear about the loss of your father. We at DMAX didn’t know your father but from reading other posts it sounds like he was a great person. We want you to know that your in our thoughts and prayers and look forward seeing you soon!
I’m very sorry to hear about Pete…Everyone always had fun when he was around, I will always remember how much fun he was. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. God bless Pete.
So sorry to hear of your loss…..he had a heart as big as the world…..our kids loved him…..and so did we….
