Anna M. Ford, age 88, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Claremont Retirement Village in Columbus, Ohio following a brief illness. She was born September 12, 1930 in Lucas, Ohio to the late Keith and Lillian (Culler) Applegate. Ann graduated from Lucas High School in 1948. She worked at Humphrey's Manufacturing in Mansfield, Gorman-Rupp Company in Mansfield, and she then retired as Treasurer of Plymouth Schools. Ann was an active member of the Lutheran Church in Plymouth where she served as council president. She was also a member of the Plymouth Lions Club and Plymouth Academic Boosters. Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved being part of the Plymouth community
Ann is survived by her daughter, Susan (Al) Workman of Columbus; three grandchildren, Stacy (Geoff) Zeiger of Bridgeton, NJ, Erin (Alex) Tebben of Columbus and Ben Morrow of Columbus; three great grandchildren, Sam and Wade Zeiger and Lincoln Tebben. She is also survived by her sister, Loretta (Bill) McBride of Mansfield, sister-in-law Norma (Minnie) Clark, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Ford, son, Donald K. Ford, son-in-law, Jeff Morrow; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jack Root and sister-in-law, Beanie Cornell.
The family of Ann would like to thank the Emergency Room, ICU. and Palliative Care staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital for their care and kindness to Ann. They would also like to thank the staff at the Claremont Retirement Village, Kindred Hospice, Right at Home Health staff and Blackstone Home Health for their support and compassion towards Ann and the family during this difficult time.
Friends may call at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 P.M.
