Sandra J. Thomas, age 72 of New Haven, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by her family. She was born January 12, 1946 to Wayne and Gladys (Hicks) Tussey. She retired after 30 years of service from R.R. Donnelley's and Sons in Willard. She enjoyed decorating, painting and making beautiful flower arrangements. She loved spending time at Lake Erie with her family and friends, but most of all, her greatest joy was spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by two daughters, Vonda K. Moss of Hanover, PA, and Vicky (Heath) Polachek of Willard; nine grandchildren, Britni Isaac, Kaelyn Moss, Kaeleigh (Tyler) Buccione, Marisa Moss, Bronson (Ashley) Owens, Jaret, Brevon and Kamdyn Polachek, and Brayden Thwaits. eight great grandchildren and one on the way; mother, Gladys Tussey of Utica, OH; 2 brothers, Corwyn (Donna) Tussey of St. Louisville, OH and Keith Tussey of Utica, OH; sister-in-law, Debora Tussey of Newark; numerous nieces and nephews, and her favorite dog, Molly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Thomas whom she married May 29, 1965 and who died December 20, 2015; father, Wayne Tussey and brother, Edward Tussey.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. I just heard of Sandi's passing. So sorry to hear. My prayers are with Sandi and Dick's Family. I've known Sandi and Dick for many years - Playing Ball and working at RRD. I'm very sorry to see both of them gone.
