Christian "Curt" Capelle, age 91, former resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Willows of Willard surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 2, 1927 in Willard, Ohio to Frederick Capelle and Mary (Greenwood) Cross and had been a life long resident of the Willard area. He was a retired carman from the B&O Railroad in Willard and a member of the Brotherhood of Carman having served as local chairman for 23 years. He was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, the Knights of Columbus, and the Willard American Legion. A veteran of the US Army having served during WWII.

He is survived by his daughters Vickie Velker (Alan) of New Tazewell, Tennessee, Jayne Craig (Ron) of Willard; his sons Curtis Capelle (Marianne)of Willard, Richard Capelle (Cynthia) of Willard; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alma (Milano) Capelle on September 23, 2008, his parents, a son James Capelle, a grandson, Brian Velker, a sister, Marybelle George, and a brother, Charles Capelle.

Friends may call at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, September 3, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn, Ohio with Fr. George Mahas and Fr. Cletus Pifher officiating. Interment will be at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or the Stein Hospice of Sandusky. Vickie,Jayne, Curtis and Richard so sorry to hear about your dad . It brought back memories of my grandmother bringing us over to play at your house when Denise and I were kids. He is up there now with you mom, my daughter, Nana and Nanu and my sister and all the rest of my family . My thoughts and prayers are with you. When I lost my daughter last year it really opened my eyes to live life to the fullest , thinking of all the good memories will help you get through the loss of a loved one . hugs to you all.
