Florian A. Brown, age 91, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Crestwood Care Nursing Home in Shelby, Ohio. He was born December 27, 1921 in Monroeville, Ohio to the late Albin and Clara (Bores) Brown. He went to St. Alphonsus grade school, and then graduated from Monroeville High School. He later graduated from Utilities Engineering Institute in Chicago, IL, where he received a diploma in Diesel & Motor Mechanics. He was well known as a highly knowledgeable tractor mechanic, and enjoyed farming. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth. He enjoyed music and played the accordion and mandolin.
He is survived by his wife, Rose M. ( Alexander) Brown, whom he married November 5, 1960 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth, Ohio; daughter, Victoria (Gary) Beamer of New Haven; son, Christopher D. (Adrienne) Brown of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Alexandra Brown of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Bernice Brown of Monroeville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Clara Brown; a sister, Marcella Seifker and a brother Donald Brown.
Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio. The funeral mass will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth with Fr. Nicholas Cunningham officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
