Anthony M. Fenner, age 78, resident of rural Plymouth passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. He was born July 13, 1939 in Plymouth to the late Michael and Maria (Archita) Fenner and had been a Plymouth resident all his life. Anthony was a 1958 graduate of Plymouth High School and was retired from the former Plymouth Locomotive Factory. He had served in the U.S. Army as an engineer and mechanic with 97th Engineer Company during Vietnam and had been stationed in Germany and France. He was a member and Past Commander of the Shiloh Legion, and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Todd C. and Shelly Fenner of Shelby; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Kay and Glen Irey of Mansfield; one grandson, Matthew Irey; one granddaughter, Ashley Fenner; a sister, Josie (Dale) Miller of Plymouth; a special niece, Kim Daron-Withkowski of Plymouth; a special nephew, Adam Withkowski of Plymouth; his dog, Remington and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kay (Bonecutter) Fenner in 2005, a granddaughter, Amber Kay Irey in 1998; and 2 sisters, Sallie Glorioso and Rosie Heydinger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 24, 2018 with Fr. Chris Mileski officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
