Robert E. Niedermeier, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Willard Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio. He was born on September 5, 1925 in Attica, Ohio to the late George and Arvilla (Wechter) Niedermeier. Bob was a clerk for the Railroad for 30 years and also was a farmer for most of his life. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed doing anything outside and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia (Reiderman) Niedermeier; 8 children, Barbara Jean (Darrell) Caudill of Delphi, Kathleen Marie Niedermeier of Australia, Allan Richard (Barbara) Niedermeier, Angela Rose (Tim) Gahring, Michael Stephen (Donna) Niedermeier, Daniel Thomas (Mary) Niedermeier, Cynthia Ann (Mark) Provenzale, and Julia Kay Vura, all of Willard; 28 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; 2 siblings, Harold Niedermeier of Plymouth and Mary Alice Nadeau of Monroe, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sister Arline Niedermeier; and brother, Russell Niedermeier.
Friends may call on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio, with Fr. George Mahas offciating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis Xavier School Endowment Fund.
