Frederic John Hay, age 74, of Townline Rd. 12, Willard, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Willard Healthcare Center in Willard, Ohio. He was born January 3, 1937 in rural Bellevue, Ohio and lived in the Bismark and Willard areas all his life. He was a farmer, carpenter, plumber, and a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Willard. He was also a member of the former St. Sebastian Church in Bellevue.
He is survived by one son, Ken (Cindy) Hay of Attica; three daughters, Shelly Marrone of Wichita, KS, Becky (Tony) Machiusi and Renee (Steve) Bridgford, both of Attica; two brothers, Larry (Eileen) Hay of Clyde and Steve (Cheryl) Hay of Bellevue; two sisters, Kathleen (Dean) Miller and Sandy Dean, both of Bellevue and eight grandchildren, Anthony, Courtney, Nicholas, Valerie, Amanda, Maisen, Ally and Turner.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Steinmetz) Hay, whom died May 1, 2000; parents, Leon Hay and Rose Marie (Hay) Miller; brother, Dennis Hay of Bellevue and sisters, Barbara Risner of Lancaster, PA and Sharon Durnwald of New Washington.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. The funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky or the American Lung Association. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
