Edna Mae Barnett, age 100, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was born on March 9, 1911 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Hayden and Josephine (Risner) Arnett. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother who enjoyed gardening, embroidery, quilting, crocheting, canning and helping on the farm.
She is survived by her four children, Elwood (Marie) Risner of Lexington, KY; Shirley (Richard) Lutts of Westlake, OH; Ollietta (Dan) Mason of Tiffin; and J.H. (Maggie) Barnett of Willard; four grandchildren, Paula (Bill) Galbreath; Terry Mason, Kevin Mason and Jason (Amanda) Barnett; three great grandchildren; a sister, Lydia McFarland of Salyersville, KY; and a brother, T.J. Arnett of Salyersville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie James Barnett whom she married on November 5, 1937; seven siblings, Parker Arnett, Eva Roark; James Edward Arnett, Baxter Arnett, Minnie Rose Risner, Easton Arnett and Ollidene Caudill.
A private graveside service will be held on Thursday April 14, 2011 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio with Pastor Jamie Stewart officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870 . Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
