Josephine Tackett, age 77, resident of Plymouth went home to be with our Lord and Savior on 19 July 2009 in Willard Healthcare. She was born on 15 April 1932 to Flem and Christine (Adams) Collins. Josie was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma who raised a family in the Plymouth area. She worked for over 30 years at the Triangle Motel in Willard.
Josie joins her husband Walter and daughter Irene who preceded her in death as well as her parents, brothers Rayburn, Roy, Troy, Otis, Delmer and sisters Myrtle Hall, Eunice Collins, Ocie Predieri, and Shirley Paden.
Surviving are her children Dallas (Deanna) of Collins, OH; Donna (Bill) Robertson of Norwalk, OH; Madeline Dowell (Kenny) of Galion, OH; Darlene (Ron) Carpenter of Shiloh, OH; Walter Jr. (Theresa) of Shelby, OH; David (Christine) of Jacksonville, FL; and William (Kimberly) of Gainesville, FL, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sisters Edna Barnett, Peggy Wright, Rita Gullett, Teresa Rust, Sue Picklesimer, Betty Cole, and Ollie Frazier
She passed in her sleep after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shiloh United Baptist Church or the Cure PSP Foundation at www.psp.org
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday 22 July, 2009 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Delmer Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. I actually know her family. I worked at Willard Healthcare and she always made me have a smile on my face, even on my not so good days, she would always make me smile. Just walking in her room and sitting there with her made me feel 1000% better. She was a sweet lady. My heart goes out to her family in this time of need. I’m sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to you all regarding the death of your mother. On Sunday, she was mentioned during our prayer time and was to be added to our list of folks that we lift to God during the week.
I am sure you are filled with sorrow, because the loss of a “mother” is tremendous. I urge you to hold onto one another, express love to each other, and look to God who knows just how you feel.
Honor your mother by loving each other in a way that would cause her to smile.
May God’s grace be yours in great abundance in the days ahead.

To all of Josie’s family, I knew Josie and Walter when she worked at the Willard Country Inn. I loved them both very much and know how much she loved her family. She was a hard working wonderful woman. You are all in my heart and prayers in your time of mourning. I will pray for God’s healing hands to touch your hearts and help with your grief. I will remember Josie’s wonderful sense of humor and inner and outer beauty.
